Just Another Day in India: The Independence Day!!!

With four breads in hand, I really have to make it quick in order to reach college today.

“Happy Independence Day!!!”

My Dad greeted me seeking something respectful in return.

It just reminded me it’s not a usual weekday. Today is Independence Day. Wow!!!

I blatantly said, “Thanx for reminding me…”

“Such a shame on this next generation. You people just don’t value the sacrifices of our ancestors”, my father said angrily.

“Yeah, as if we asked for a favour”, I said thinking of myself as the only-smart-ass in room.

“You people are disgusting”.

That’s really a nice way to end the conversation because if you say something after that, then its going to be used against you only later. So better be quiet.

I hurried bidding bye to mumma and picked up my bike. As usual I looked into the mirror on the right handle of the bike to see if I am looking cool like any other guy in here’s-the-dude fashion despite the fact that I was getting late.

I finally started off for my college. It takes almost half an hour to reach there, if no traffic obstructs you. I expected less traffic today as it is a government holiday.

But I forgot to consider one thing. There may not be people on bikes and riding cars but there are rallies with hundreds of people walking even slower than a tortoise.

Road is jammed. I better walk than pulling the bike using my legs not the engine. This is pathetic. The rally included people wearing kurtas in saffron. They looked like supporters of Bajrang Dal or some lookalike organization.

By the time, they were passing ahead till the next poll light, where I could turn my way around to another road and surpass them, I was thinking something.

It’s not customary when the process of thinking starts in my brain. But when it really does, it stirs a hell lot of questions which the biggest of unknown forces might fail to answer.

“Why? Why are they really doing this? Just a part of formality or do they really mean to achieve something”?

Something caught my eye. I looked around. Two men in those colorful kurtas from the rally were beating a man standing by a car. I enquired. That man in car said something to them which they apparently didn’t like. He had asked them to move aside as he was in some hurry.

The fight was really getting interesting. A big man from the rally saying to other, “Stop!!! That’s enough. He may die of your punches.”

But other was really serious while beating him. “No, we should teach this asshole not to mess with us. Hey, you motherfucker, are you listening to me? Huh…. We will burn you to ashes in seconds. You don’t know us. You don’t know our power. Even police can’t dare to touch us.”

What I can say is he was really scary bullying man. The rally cleared the road in a while. That man was still lying there helpless. I was getting late. But out of curiosity, I just wanted to know what he said to those big guys that got him in a real mess.

I went closer to him only when those big guys have made their way. That man has been beaten black and blue. He was spilling blood all over. There was a girl about fourteen years old in his car lying in the back seat.

“Please help me. She just had an attack. Take us to a hospital”, he pleaded.

I could not deny. He really needed somebody. I parked my bike nearby.

“It’s Independence Day. At least I am doing some good, if not for the whole nation then at least for its countrymen. Sorry countryman”, I said to myself.

That man’s nose has been bleading for a few mintues. After cleaning himself for a while, he told me that the girl is his daughter and is having brain tumor. She suffered a panic attack and went unconscious. She immediately needed a doctor. He asked those kurta guys to move aside but they didn’t hear him. It irritated him and he shouted at them and the next moment, he is lying on road thrashed by those guys.

“So this was their agenda. Not to help society but to be a nuisance to them”, I murmured to myself commenting on those bullies.

We reached the city hospital that was closest. It was a government hospital.

“This girl suffered a panic attack and is unconscious. She needs a doctor right now”, we asked at the reception.

“Sorry, nobody’s on duty right now”, said the receptionist.

“What? Not a single doctor. Are you kidding me?”

The girl’s father waved a 500 rupee-note in front of her and said,” It’s urgent.”

“If you insist, but Dr. Sharma won’t be able to examine her. You check yourself”.

I went along with them. And next scene was horrible. The doctor laid drunk on his chair and a bottle of desi daru kept on the table. I could not dare to go even close to him. He smelled pungent. I pitied India. This nation is going through horrible time.

I knew I was not of much help to that father who had hopefully visited the hospital but got nothing than regret.

I came out and took an auto to the place where I had parked my bike. On the way, I thought what the hell is government doing?

Auto stopped at a petrol pump to refill his tank. Then I noticed something which made it clear to my mind what our government is doing. Don’t you notice the hike in petrol price, LPG cylinders including eatables too like dal, vegetables etc.

The social groups like the one we met today have so much to worry about like the land acquisition in Ayodhya. They don’t have time to think about common people and their problems. Our country is really making progress but its people especially the poor and middle class are getting retreated.

I finally reached the place where I had left my bike. I paid auto its fare. My purse just lost its weight. Inflation has really taken a poll on our pockets.

Alright I’m here but where’s my bike. After asking some people on kiosks nearby I came to know that it was parked in No Parking area and has been lifted to the thana nearby.

“My father will run after my ass if he comes to know about it”, I said to myself standing there helpless.

A strong kick like some hardcore metal band jolted my ass.

“Wake up you bastard. Its 11 am in morning. Don’t you have anything else to do except sleeping”, my father said furiously.

“Oh my God, it was a dream!!!”, I exclaimed.

“Yes. Katrina Kaif must have been kissing you. Right? And I disturbed you. Come on now, fresh up and I will take you to parade”.

“Oh no…” I said like a pessimist.

“Yes. I want you ready in 10 minutes”.

It’s a cold morning, raining since last night. I am feeling so dizzy. I looked down the window near my bed. It was a rally. They were celebrating Independence Day but only in a literal sense. People have forgotten the true essence of it. We are not independent. We are still being ruled not by the outsiders but by our very own people. Independence Day has lost its meaning in the race of chair and political conspiracies of Indian, so-called leaders. Now, it’s not so special. It’s just another day in India for me at least.

Life’s brutal symphony!!!

You live this moment, can die in next. Life is so uncertain. You never know what it has kept for us in every moment but what we know is the present moment that we live in. We don’t know if we are going to be rich, famous or some dignified powerful personality in coming years but we know that we are going to be somebody someday.

But what hurts me every day is that I am not the one who meets people, talks to them and roam around with them. I am just an interpretation of myself that keeps my inner-self away from me. I manipulate, I control my thoughts and actions when I am around being a part of this ‘Society’.

How cool it would have been if I could be myself; the Real Me!!!

But the catastrophe is that we live in a world of impostors. I can’t be ‘me’ until and unless others consider it acceptable enough to be a part of well-behaved society.

Earning money is not the only thing that marks our status and justifies it. Money may buy almost everything but can it buy a pair of arms that you could huddle into with warmth of love and care. Everyone has got a choice. What if I am a grown-up now? Does that make me ineligible to enjoy my life anymore? What I do in life has to be my choice. Becoming a doctor or an engineer should not matter to my neighbours who always keep on enquiring if I am actually into something or not. World is too mean and it wants me to be the same way.

Thoreau rightly said: “Rather than love, than money, than faith, than fame, than fairness... give me truth”.

The truth lies within me. What needs to be done is to attain the ultimate freedom; the liberty to meet myself inside this very own society of ours.

The judgement is not in their hands. It’s in our hands. Life has got rules, regulations and restrictions. But we have to choose the way.

Let’s enjoy our life, let’s enjoy this day, let’s be human, let yourself ruin you!!!

When God came on Earth...

Ding Dong (The door bell rings)
The gate opens. A man suited in lined trouser with a shining coat and a tie around his white collar gasps at the God and asks, "Yes, who are you?".
God: "I am God".
Man: "Don't freak me out. If you are here to sell something, then be quick and leave. I am already late for office".
God: "I know my child. You even find little time to meet yourself in the whole day".
Man: "Oh really! You know a lot about me. Now common, keep moving. I don't need any shit of yours". and he shuts the door with a bang.

God was not even surprised a lot when he created men than seeing the reaction of his creation.
Suddenly a rally passes by Him and he looks at that with suspicion.
He moves into the rally silently; listens to the speech made by the local politician( we call him MLA) and then after listening to a long list of provoking promises made by the MLA, he finally decides to test him.
The God appears in the car of MLA giving him some dreadfulness of being God and asks,"How are you son?"
MLA: "Who the hell are you? How did you get into my car?"
God: "Just relax. I am God. Your creator."
MLA: "Don't try to be smart. I know who my father is !!! What do you want?
Get out of my car( he shouts)".
God: "You still don't believe me!!!"
MLA: "Why should I believe you?"
God: "Should I tell you about your 1.5 crores worth property in your hometown that even your accountants don't know or three petrol pumps in nearby districts you own that have got no records in the balance sheets of tax department."
MLA: "Are you a media person? I don't want this shit to come out? How much do you want? tell me."
God: "Relax man. I am here to talk to you".
MLA: "About what?"
God: "Why don't you be truthful to yourself?"
MLA: "What the ...."
God: "Youjust made a list of promises to those innocent people out there who trust you and chose you to become their leader."
MLA: "Who the hell cares about them? I am here to live for myself. I am enjoying my life and to enjoy everything, you need money and that's what i am getting out of them. I have to win election this time at any cost. You know last time i the passed budget for the dam across the river of our district".
God: "Yes! and it got cracks within three months because half of the passed budget went into your account."
MLA: "Common!!! Who cares! People are so heedless. They will forget everything. Its only about a day or two".
God: "And what if it cost lives of anybody?"
MLA: "Let it be. It will help reduce the population. See, at least i am of some help to this nation".

God disappears from his car. A cold nerve drove through his spine. He was well shaken at mind by the MLA. To him world seemed pathetic after looking at what interpretations of service does the leader of nation are making. Its not about giving people a better life but taking their lives. People on earth don't need Devil powers. Man himself has turned against man.

He already saw two middle-aged men who were quite selfish and mean. So, now he decided to meet some youth so as to get their perception about their life. Suddenly he noticed a young 20 year old boy sitting in a cyber cafe, downloading the latest track of Justin Beiber and chatting with some friends.

God: "Hello Dude!!!".
Boy: "Hey!!!...Wait do i know you?"
God: "I am God".
Boy: (Laughingly) "and I am James Bond..lol.."(and laughs loudly).
God: "I am serious".
Boy: "and I too".

Boy: "OK if you are God, can you do anything that i ask you?"
God:" Yes, if sounds feasible enough. Ask for a wish and i will do it for you. After all, you are the one who drives this country to its golden future."
Boy: "Get me a hot and sexy girlfriend".
God: "What about your studies, job and future plans?"
Boy: "Oh common who gives a damn about all that... i got easily into a private college by donation. And i will get my degree too anyway. Life is all fun man!!! Drink, party, enjoy.....".
God: "I hope you get enough of it".

And He suddenly disappears. This was least expected by Him. After that day, He decided to never step back on Earth even if a disaster outstrips the helpless humans. Do you know why?

Because He can't see with his eyes humans turning against each other. He is not helping us because we forgot to help our buddies. He is not listening to us because we have stopped listening to ourselves; our conscience.

This life is not ours. He gifted us with this beautiful present. We owe him what he bestowed upon us by spreading love, peace and harmony and being selfless, truthful to ourselves.

Strangers that are no more stranger to me!!!

My last summer has been full of adventures for me. I was on my longest ever trip to new places. I almost travelled half of Tamil Nadu including Chennai, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Tiruchendur, Tenkasi and Kuttralam and I encountered some of the best humans living on earth today. The first I would like to mention is none other than Mrs. Traude Englert, who by name sounds a foreigner but is an Indian by soul. A lady that never gives up on anything and is always calm and smiling in every sphere of time. A lady so gentle at heart, who loves to admire nature and animals; be it a cat , fiery dogs or the giant elephant. She can communicate with even the rare species of a kind. A mother who is above all the blood relations. She was born and brought up in Austria but seeing her speaking Tamil without hindrance, one is left amused as if she has been living in India for years.

Then I met Mr. Vishwanathan, who is the management trustee of the Aum Pranav Ashram. A man par excellence, full of wisdom and spirituality. A super cool man but responsible towards his duties. He can be found reciting bhajans always and his faith in GOD's supremacy is undoubted. His knowledge of mythological scripts and vedas is commendable. His positive attitude always encourages people regardless of the fact of knowing him or not. His actions and speech can easily command over anyone. He is excellent at catching up with children.

Mr. Karl is anther such personality who influenced me a lot. All Indians who think India is no more a great country should meet Mr. Karl. He is wise enough to let you think if you are actually doing what you are meant to. An ingenious soul who can reach to anyone beyond the boundaries of language and nation. A lively and jolly man always full of spirit. I really had a great time with him and hope to meet with him in future again. His wife, Catherina is also a perfect example of benevolence and humanity. She is so helping, caring and an example of selfless service.

I find myself lucky enough to find good companions in Evelyn, Mariella and Karin(pronounced as Kha-rin).the first time i met Karin, i felt like what a fool she is who forgot her password but later i realized that she is a lady with golden heart. She is very sensitive, ebullient and helpful. It was really a great time and a fun to enjoy the company of this trio.
I often cracked jokes on Mariella's meal as she was always taking coffee when we were having meals on table. At maximum, she was taking herbal pills to keep her belly busy with some food intake.
Not to forget, "The Throwballer", Savitri, daughter of Mam Traude and Sir. She was very very very......sweet(imitating her expression) and a good athlete too. I called her Surya freak as she is a big fan of Tamil actor Surya....(God save her!!!).

The list goes on and on.....even the little rockers of Ashram Karrupswamy(whom I named "Corruption"), brilliant Aiyappan, the most charming Ramlakshmi and Saraswati, the sleeping beauty Chitra(as she is always sleeping in prayer), notorious Velmurugan, cute Dinu. I just loved all those kids with whom I danced, watched movies(secretly) and had a real blast.
Even the dogs Satya(whom i called the friend of Ashok as he is also lazy like him), Abhirami, Saumya, Narayani, Chandra, Shiv kumar were so charmig and loving that you just can't ignore them.

This was the most wonderful journey i had in my life till date and hope to cherish it forever.

A Paradise on Earth

Life is becoming fast nowadys. People run after money all through their life to secure enough for their family to live on but ultimately what one strives for after coming out of this monotonous cycle of home to office and vice-versa is peace; the satisfaction that one wants from life. We earn money but we fail to realize money is not the only thing to achieve contentment in life. Running after money can take you into the sands of loneliness where time passes sitting idle in search of a shower of love and happiness. And this is exactly what one achieves in the Aum Pranava Ashram.

The unconditional love and an unusual sense of energy binds you with everyone around. The Ashram is not less than a paradise where you find children enjoying every moment of their life. Ashram has profound the seeds of love and education in every child. This is where even government fails to teach small children of villages, who are considered the future of country but the Ashram is enlightening every soul with essence of knowledge and contributing in making this nation worth its treasure by making these children self-dependent. The children who remain deprive of education because of incapability of their parents or who are orphans get to know things, enjoy each and every moment of this life by sharing among themselves and learning harmony with nature.

This is not the only side of the Ashram. Even the old people who have been neglected by their children or the sufferers of fate are taken care of in the Ashram. They are just like our family members and prevail the emotions of love and car all over the Ashram.

The serene of Ashram is mystic as some divine radiations are always flowing in the Ashram that keeps you full of energy. The breeze pumps some unusual paranormal instinct in blood taht keeps you fresh and lively.
All the staff and people are so caring and supportive that you never miss your home. All i can say if there is Paradise in India, it is here, it is here, it is here...

The true part of our life is never "right"

You lie, it's wrong; you smoke, that's wrong but you do it thats true. we deceive someone deliberately which we know is morally incorrect but we do it, it's true.
What is it actually that prevents you from doing the right thing? We often analyze ourselves but we rarely correct ourselves. The truth is inevitable but we are not ready to accept our faults. What we do is right and what others do is unacceptable.
Man has assimilated ego with his actions despite the fact he knows that actions are to be controlled by his conscience but in this fake world status is preferred than justice. Man wants to claim his misty self-proclaimed reputation rather than going for what is just and true.
But for others, we judge them on the scales of "
Geeta" and "Kuran". God save this hypocrite world. Now even an anesthetic can believe God does exist in this world who is preventing the pride and prejudice's wars.

Humanity losing its way...

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4

Who’s real? Who’s true? Can you make out in this fake world who is yours and who is not?

In present scenario one’s innocent face can easily bluff you and let you doom into the midst of meaningful relationships which exist only to fulfill own meanings.

The world has turned into a simulation where people play with emotions and have an ingenious capability of exhibiting variable behavior depending on their interests.

Once it was believed that you can identify a person by his heart because if one follows his heart, then he is considered to be genuine but this has become ironical now days. I don’t know if some kind of mechanism dominates people these days that now even their heart follows their mind that wanders only after its interest.

This is why majority has changed into emotionless hardcore working people who judge their decisions by preferring their means over feelings.

No one is able to distinguish man and machines because the feelings and sensuousness in man has died. The world is more like a stock market where a person finds profit in other beings while making contact with him/her.

I’m afraid if world would seem one day to be devoid of love and brotherhood completely where people live together for the sake of forming a society and get their jobs done out of others.

GOD BLESS THEM!!!
